PureDeen ("we", "our", "us") operates the PureDeen mobile application. This page explains how we handle information when you use the app.
Information we collect
- Account information: If you create an account, we store your email address and authentication details through our backend provider.
- App preferences: Settings such as theme, notifications, and reading progress may be stored on your device and, where applicable, linked to your account.
- Location: With your permission, location is used for prayer times and Qibla direction. Location is used on-device where possible.
- Camera and photos: Used for barcode scanning and optional bug report screenshots when you choose to attach them.
- Support and bug reports: Information you submit through Help & Support, including optional screenshots.
- Donations: Optional payments are processed by third-party providers (such as Stripe or Zelle). We record donation status linked to your account when you are signed in.
How we use information
- Provide and improve app features
- Authenticate users and sync preferences
- Respond to support requests
- Process optional voluntary donations
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers for authentication, database hosting, payment processing, and support workflows. They process data only to provide services to us.
Data export and account
Signed-in users can export certain app preference data from Profile → Privacy in the app. You may sign out at any time from Profile.
Children
PureDeen is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
