Terms of Service
Last updated: June 20, 2026
PureDeen ("we", "our", "us") operates the PureDeen mobile application. By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service.
Acceptance
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app. Continued use after we update these terms means you accept the revised terms.
The service
PureDeen is a mobile companion app for Muslims in the United States. It includes prayer times and reminders, a Quran reader, Qibla direction, and a halal product barcode scanner. Features may change or be updated over time.
Not religious authority
PureDeen is a tool to support daily practice. It does not issue religious rulings (fatwas). Halal scan results are for guidance only and may be incomplete or incorrect. Always read product labels and verify halal certification yourself before making consumption decisions.
Accounts
Some features work without an account. If you create an account, provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Optional donations
PureDeen is free to use. You may optionally support development through voluntary donations in the app (for example via card, Apple Pay, or Zelle). Donations are not required to use the app, no physical goods are sold, and donations are generally non-refundable except where required by law.
Acceptable use
- Use the app only for lawful purposes
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or abuse the service
- Do not submit false or misleading bug reports or support messages
- Do not use automated means to scrape or overload our systems
Intellectual property
The PureDeen name, logo, app design, and related content are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the app or its content except as allowed by these terms or applicable law.
Third-party services
The app relies on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, payments, product data, and optional AI-assisted scanning. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of prayer times, scan results, or uninterrupted availability.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PureDeen and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on scan results or prayer-time information. Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (typically zero, as the app is free).
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
